Excellent Design

I purchased this Kurgo pack to add weight for fitness and control purposes. IMO, it has the best design I've seen for distibuting weight evenly across a dog's back. Initially I thought the pack was a bit small for my 40 lb. mixed breed, but now I'm convinced any larger would have been a problem. I put a water bottle in each side. The bottles fit pretty tightly into the length of the pockets, so they don't move around as the dog runs, and because of the straps that adjust how low the pockets hand off the dog's back I can be sure the pockets don't hang low so low that they interfer with the motion of his legs at any time. On warm days, the weight is decreased as we drink the water; meaning the weight becomes lighter as the day progresses and we tire. Perfect!

Apparently I received a defective pack, and Kurgo responded to my review, and my email within an hour. They are sending me a new one. As I said to them, it is refreshing to deal with a company that cares about the quality of their product and stands behind it. It is nice to know that a product warranty does mean something! Excellent customer service. I am excited to receive the new pack! Thank you Kurgo!

Purchased this pack about 2 months ago for our new high energy rescue dog. Used it on walks a few times a week putting in about 2 pounds of weight in each side. The pack was great and fit our APBT so perfectly I would have rated the product higher, except there is a rip along one of the sides of the pack. Disappointing construction on a product that is very well designed.

You are justified in criticizing our pack, it shouldn't tear. Like all of our products, the wander pack is covered by a 12 month warranty when you bought it and recently (November 2012 a lifetime warranty). Please send us a photo of your pack and we will send you a replacement right away.
