It’s nice to be one of those lucky dog owners. The kind who’s pup love’s nothing more than to get in the car and go. But let’s be sensible, not every traveler is perfect and some can be pretty finicky. When it comes down to it, our sensible side also knows it’s best to keep Fido restrained while driving – for his safety and the safety of others.
Inspired by a dog run, the Auto Zip Line™ allows back and forth plus sit and stand movement, but also provides security for those unexpected driving moments we’d rather not think about. A smooth running machine, this harness, leash and zip-line system make it super easy to get on the road with your pup. The leash easily connects and disconnects from the zip line when getting in or out of the car…which means instant transition from vehicle restraint to walking lead (yeah, we think of everything).
The Auto Zip Line is endlessly versatile and can be used between any two fixed points in a vehicle. Here is a happy and safe solution for everyone who agrees it’s more fun to make the trip together.

I had the same problem with needing to shorten the line to fit my car (2010 jetta), but I solved it by extending the line and then looping it around the seat backs (that can drop forward), putting the hooks together, and then tightening the line until it fit properly. My only issue is with the carabiner that came with the line. Yes, it's what gives your do the freedom to go from side to side, but it's also perfect for them to get their foot caught in it. My pup panicked and started screaming, but I was able to pull over within seconds. No damage done, but definately no more carabiner. I just put the line through the loop that attaches to the harness and it works fine.

I have an 07 Civic sedan, not an atypical car. I tried to put the zip line between the two seatbelts, but it wouldn't tighten enough. There is a stitched-on piece that keeps it from shortening enough - it gets too thick to go through the adjustment piece, so it just sags, which lets the seatbelts fall to the seatbench.

I have an auto zip line and we love it. Ava (my lab) is restrained but still able to move in the back seat of our Liberty. We just bought a Wrangler. The zip line will take away the worries when cruising with the top down. This dog momma is very happy with it!
