    My dog wears a Kurgo harness to keep him in the back seat but he was able to stand with his front paws on the center console which was distracting when I was driving, especially if he decided he wanted to snuggle or look out the driver's side window. I was considering a barrier but didn't want to lose access to the back seat so when I came across this item from Kurgo i decided to try it. Frankly I was dubious but my dog gave it one sniff and wouldn't go near it! He gave a couple half hearted attempts to jump over it but since he wears the harness he was stuck in the back. If your dog is likely to jump into the front I'm not sure it would keep them in the back by itself but it works in concert with a harness. The only down side? I never realized how much I rest my arm on the console and it's as uncomfortable for the human as it is for the dog.

    I recently purchased this product and was a little skeptical at first if it would really work. I have used gates and dividers in the past and my small dogs have gotten through these products, or jumped over them. But the Auto Grass from Kurgo is yet another great product from a wonderful line. Another problem we faced is we have three drivers in the house, with three cars, so the digs could be transported in any of the vehicles. And with my husband working for a dealership, he never has the same car for more than a few days, so we needed something which would easily be moved from one vehicle to another. This IS the solution!!
    None of my three dogs wanted to touch the Auto Grass and stayed in the back seat the entire ride, FOR ONCE!!! It was great to have that peace of mind knowing they would remain in the back seat and not try to get up front with me. This product made the trip actually a little relaxing for all of us! Plus, keeps my iPhone safe.
