The ultimate dog accessory
If you are anything like the crew around here, you and Fido may have a little bit of an accessories problem—all things you need, of course. Doggie backpack for hiking, flashy collars and leashes, and maybe even a dog shirt that reads “I love my Mom” … the list goes on. But what about an everyday harness? Because you and Fido go everywhere together, you need something versatile that’s designed both for walking and as a car restraint—something that will make every step of any trip convenient, comfortable and controlled.
The Tru-Fit Smart Harness does just this … oh—and lots more! The harness is quick and easy to put on; simply slip it over your dog’s head and then clip the Quick Release Buckles around the midsection. The five different adjustments provide nearly a custom fit, and the chest pad makes sure that even if Fido misbehaves on the walk or in the car he can be controlled. The harness comes in a bunch of great new trendy colors, guaranteed to fit all of Fido’s wacky personalities. Great style, functional and safe … you know you want one, and so does Fido!

A friend's experience of being rear ended with her dog in the back seat (and then on the dashboard, and then on the floor) made me think. My dogs have good car manners and stay in their "spot" in the back, but even the best training won't keep your dog safe in an accident. I tried several different types of dog seat belts before settling on the Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Harness. Here's what makes it different from the others I tried.
1. Safety tested and secure. It's not just a walking harness with a seat belt clip. This thing is extremely well made, with quality hardware and a comfortable, padded chest panel designed to restrain a dog without undue stress on the body. There are two options for placing the chest strap where it won't rub under their arms.
2. Easy to get on and off – so it's no hassle to actually USE it. It has multiple adjustment points so you can size it to fit your dog just right, and then just slip it over her head and fasten the buckles.
3. Doubles as a regular walking harness. You can attach the leash at the back or the chest, which is great if your dog pulls while walking. Some of the other car harnesses I looked at had heavy, complicated hardware or overlapping panels to secure the harness on the dog or into the car. Fine for sitting in the car, maybe, but awkward anywhere else. The Kurgo harness is so comfortable and versatile we use it as our go-to harness even when we're not going to be in the car.
In summary - if you have a dog and a car (or even just a dog), you need this harness!

This is the second Kurgo harness I have purchased. The first was wonderful but my Bandit grew out of it so it was time for a bigger one. I use it all the time when we are going somewhere that he rides in the car for. I leave it on for walks or visiting the dog park and he loves it, he knows that when I pull out the harness it is adventure time. You definitely get your moneys worth with this product, great job Kurgo!

Heavy duty, easy to adjust, and dogs are comfortable and safe in them. My dogs are my priority and nothing is too good for them. Kurgo is my top choice.

This was a replacement for one that I have had for years and was looking alittle worn. I have three 75 pound labs and this is perfect for those drives they love so much. I feel they are safe and that is important to me

Bought one for my dog a few years ago. Bought another for my new puppy. Great for walks on the leash and and rides in the car. Very adjustable and easy-on and off. Thanks!

Great product! Easy to put on and take off, even with my toy poodle who is in constant motion. Harness is easy to adjust and is very sturdy. Seat belt loop is easy to use as well.

Love the ease of getting this harness on and off a wiggly 5 month old pup. Worked great for my 5 year old GSD so decided to try it for the new pup. works great.

I had one before I bought this one, but my dog grew out of it, so needed to get a bigger one.
Works well, and seems comfortable for my boy.
Well made, good quality product.

This is our second one as we complete wore out the first as we walk every day. I have a welsh corgi and it makes it so easy to walk him. I don't use the front but the top side as that works better for us. It is a great harness and one you will never be sorry you purchased

We have two of these and they are great except for one thing. The front chest fabric (nylon/rayon?) won't hold a stich. The fabric pulls away from the edging it's stitched to. We have tried to sew it and glue it but the loose weave of the fabric and fabric type isn't appropriate and it unravels.
Both have the same problem used on our Standard Poodle. We only use them for walking the dog.
