We really like Kurgo harnesses, and this is our third. Ordering was easy, and the delivery was very prompt. However, straight out of the box the Go-tech adventure harness was a bit disappointing, since I had to expand the sizing to its absolute maximum to fit around my dog's chest, and it's still a bit snug. We purchased a medium, and he weighs 40 lbs., so this tight fit was surprising, especially since the 2 other models of Kurgo harnesses have fit well. He is not at all overweight, but he is a mini golden doodle--a breed that has a bit of a large ribcage for their size.
After about two months use, the stitching has begun to pull, and the foam padding is visible around the seams. I'm not sure if this will be covered under warranty or if it will be considered "wear and tear," but it's too bad that the harness hasn't held up to his average 1.5 year old dog play.
Note from Kurgo: We are very sorry that this harness did not live up to your expectations. It sounds as though it may qualify for our Lifetime Warranty. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance. You will be asked to send photos so if you want to attach those with your first email, it will help speed up the process.

I purchased a medium for my 45 lb cattle dog and it fits OK although it would be better if the neck was adjustable as she has slipped out of it twice. I originally purchased the small for my 20 lb Jack Russell and the chest strap was way too small. The medium fits big but purchased it anyway. The small needs more adjustment around the chest.
Buckles are secure but not intuitive for connecting.
Great harness -- well made. Works well with the seat belt coupler.

The sizing chart seems to imply the neck is adjustable, but it is not. None of the pictures show the back of the harness, so you can't see it from any of them.
The harness fits our dog pretty well, but it would be better if I could tighten up the neck a little.
The buckle system seems very secure, though it's a little tough to get the buckles through if you have a dog who can't stop wiggling his butt once he realizes you're going for a run.

Our Dozer had never worn a harness until this arrived in the mail. He let us slip it right on, now He wants to wear it all the time. I actually have to keep it tucked away or he will carry it all over the place. Works great with the zip line system to keep him safe in our vehicles. He looks smart in the blue also.

Got two of these, M & L. The large fit our American Bulldog perfectly; however the medium is a little too snug on my other dog (great Pyrenees x lab). She doesn't have a large build so the large is way too big; and the small would be way too small. So went with medium. While it fits her neck & chest, it is too snug to get over her head not to mention trying to get it off again! Plus with the size being a bit off, the belt is extended as far as it can go and although the buckles still nest fine it is tight. As such, when she moves to either side window the entire harness gets pulled to her side. It needs more flexibility; an adjustable neck option somehow & maybe an extender belt to attach onto the existing girth one. I am sure others have the same or similar issues as I know my girl isn't the only one with an "in-between" build.
Kurgo Note: We recommend you consider the Tru-Fit Smart Harness as it has 5 points of adjustment and can be modified to fit any proportioned dog. You can either get the walking harness with quick release buckles or the Enhanced Strength Tru-Fit Smart Harness with Steel Nestling Buckles if you want a crash-tested version.

My large dog, who hates any kind of leashes or clothing does not complain when I put this harness on him. He is comfortable with it, and that makes me happy. It restrains him and yet lets him move about in the back seat when he needs to. I highly recommend it to all dog owners.

Overall good fit but there are a few things I think would improve it. First of all I would like another D ring on the top of the harness or maybe a bit higher on the chest. Where it is now, the leash is always hitting his leg. Also, the tether that comes with it is a bit short to allow him to even sit comfortably, let alone move around a bit. I would suggest an adjustable one for flexibility in choosing how much freedom they are given.
