It is large enough for most cars.
I would like it to have more attachments possibilities because layout of seats vary very much from cars to cars
I am still very happy with the purchase

I ordered the Hammock and door guards and found them both great. Martini and I live and hike in the South Central mountains of PA. Since I am rural we spend little travel time and enjoyable time walking through the brush, mud and streams. The Kurgo products have protected the rear seat, kept most of her hair in the back. Martini accepted the Kurgo goods just like she did her safety harness

The fabric of this is superior to the fabric of the one it replaced, which it should be because it cost three times as much. But installing it has proven a challenge and I still don't think I have it right. At first I had it sideways and was frustrated because the edges kept getting shoved toward the middle, exposing a lot of seat. Now I suspect I have it the right way but it still seems wonky because of the elastic bands and it still doesn't quite cover the seat bottom. Including explicit directions on how to install would go some distance toward improving this product--perhaps not all the way. I can't tell.

Just bought a new car and was so happy to be able to continue to hike with my dog without fear that he would ruin my nice new interior. The Kurgo hammock keeps him from the front seats while covering the back. He is quite content to remain in the back while still able to nose out of the window to feel the fresh air as we whiz up the canyon.

We bought the hammock today as I thought our 16 week old Lab could now sit in the backseat alone and only one of us would then need to travel with him rather than one person driving and the other in the backseat with the pup on their lap.
It was very easy to install --- we have front and back removable headrests and did not need to use the clips but they looked strong with one side now metallic (must have been changed since some of the earlier posts. The fabric is also of a sturdier quality than others I have seen
He has only lain in it so far --- we'll go for a ride tomorrow to test his willingness to stay in the back seat.
My only constructive criticism based on use with a curious pup is that he immediately went after the Kurgo tag and seat belt hole flaps as well as the zipper tab, which are all accessible to the dog rather than on the underside.
If anyone has come up with a way to keep the side flaps in place (since we did not use the 3rd grommet), please let me know!

easy to install, fits well...stays in place even w/ my mastiff jumping in and out of SUV. Keeps dog from falling on floor in between seats, not too high-I can still see her lying on seat. Excellent quality material & construction. Looks great & easily converts for human passengers w/zipper & quick release hooks. Easy to clean.

I just bought the wander hammock at REI and installed it for the car ride home. Not even 10 minutes later, my pup puked all over the back seat. Thank goodness this thing is waterproof - I pulled over, wiped up the mess and that was it. Very easy clean up. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the new product smell straight out of the packaging was very potent and I was concerned about the VOC's. I recommend airing it out first.

Would you buy a ship if it was designed with failure points throughout the hull? Probably not. I admit that its useful if there is some slight dampness, but the seat belt holes compromise the integrity of this product and liquids easily seep through the Velcro closures and onto the seats. In my case, a sick pup with a weak bladder on the way to the vet. The edges are another problem. What is caught by the liner simply runs across it and drips off the side... I can see this being a problem with messy children as well. Guess I'll have to give up having nice things for a while.
SO it works great for a few drips here and there and keeps hair out of your seat... about it.

Purchased this product for a trip with our new dog from Florida to Wisconsin. She really enjoyed riding in/on her hammock. Most of the hair she shed en route remained on the cover and we had a little water spill which did not go through. As others have suggested could be just a tich wider and the cord which keeps it snug to the seat could stand some tweaking as it came loose several times even with square knots. Main downer for me is the zipper. It kept/keeps sliding down. Needs to be a locking zipper. BTW also purchased the door guards, a Super Value and work wonderfully. I'm leaving them on full time!

We have had our hammock for 2 years now and I love it as we have a Bulldog and on trips she drinks lots of water and loves to look out the windows. Water she spills never gets on the seats as it is waterproof and a couple of times when we have had to suddenly break the hammock keeps her from falling off the seat. We bought a second one for our Jeep. Easy to remove and clean.
