I own a pet sitting company and I am constantly transporting dogs. I move on average 25 - 40 dogs per week, including my 5 day per week playgroup. Protecting my seats is a must. My hammock sits over heavy duty seat covers because I don't mess around, but plays a super important part nonetheless.
This is the first hammock which hasn't starting falling apart after the first couple of weeks. It is strong and able to carry the load I have to offer. I really like the grommets. So much better than the seams slowly ripping off the hammock itself. The straps which hold it in place are super easy to get on and off, so switching to a less messy human passenger js a breeze. The zipper can be pulled up to dissuade dogs from jumping up front, or lowered when you have someone who is allowed. The little travel bag is great for my shampoos and such and keeping them upright and convenient to get to.
The only thing I wish was a little better, is how it is held to the sides of the seat so it doesn't slowly collapse into the middle of the seat (from doggy feet kicking it back as they launch out of the car). The seatbelt holding part isn't really practical. I might simply add some straps with magnets in the bottom, to attach to the inside of the door and that should do the trick.
I am in love with this hammock, plain and simple.

Our 'girls', both All American breed, have never been at ease in an automobile. However, they did beautifully with the hammock in place in the backseat. I cannot say what about this product puts them at ease but they were calm and collected with this in place. I'll recommend to all who will listen. It's a quality product.

This product was very easy to install. My young Standard Poodle ( just turned 5 months old)took to it immediatley. I did add an old quilt to make it homier. He snuggled right down and went to sleep and Although I have him belted with a kurgo car seat belt! I find it comforting knowing that he cannot slip off or drop things off the seat When Inneeded to remove it, it took me all of two minutes to unclip and fold it up. Replacing it was just a quick and easy. It can be left in place but Infound it simple to remove it.
I am very pleased with it and found the price perfect for a product of such high quality.

It is large enough for most cars.
I would like it to have more attachments possibilities because layout of seats vary very much from cars to cars
I am still very happy with the purchase

I ordered the Hammock and door guards and found them both great. Martini and I live and hike in the South Central mountains of PA. Since I am rural we spend little travel time and enjoyable time walking through the brush, mud and streams. The Kurgo products have protected the rear seat, kept most of her hair in the back. Martini accepted the Kurgo goods just like she did her safety harness

The fabric of this is superior to the fabric of the one it replaced, which it should be because it cost three times as much. But installing it has proven a challenge and I still don't think I have it right. At first I had it sideways and was frustrated because the edges kept getting shoved toward the middle, exposing a lot of seat. Now I suspect I have it the right way but it still seems wonky because of the elastic bands and it still doesn't quite cover the seat bottom. Including explicit directions on how to install would go some distance toward improving this product--perhaps not all the way. I can't tell.

Just bought a new car and was so happy to be able to continue to hike with my dog without fear that he would ruin my nice new interior. The Kurgo hammock keeps him from the front seats while covering the back. He is quite content to remain in the back while still able to nose out of the window to feel the fresh air as we whiz up the canyon.

We bought the hammock today as I thought our 16 week old Lab could now sit in the backseat alone and only one of us would then need to travel with him rather than one person driving and the other in the backseat with the pup on their lap.
It was very easy to install --- we have front and back removable headrests and did not need to use the clips but they looked strong with one side now metallic (must have been changed since some of the earlier posts. The fabric is also of a sturdier quality than others I have seen
He has only lain in it so far --- we'll go for a ride tomorrow to test his willingness to stay in the back seat.
My only constructive criticism based on use with a curious pup is that he immediately went after the Kurgo tag and seat belt hole flaps as well as the zipper tab, which are all accessible to the dog rather than on the underside.
If anyone has come up with a way to keep the side flaps in place (since we did not use the 3rd grommet), please let me know!

easy to install, fits well...stays in place even w/ my mastiff jumping in and out of SUV. Keeps dog from falling on floor in between seats, not too high-I can still see her lying on seat. Excellent quality material & construction. Looks great & easily converts for human passengers w/zipper & quick release hooks. Easy to clean.
